Jim Averback, President, Life Science Integration Partners
For over a decade, Jim has driven innovation in the use of Information Technology to accelerate and enhance quality in Drug Development in the Pharmaceutical industry. Working with Merck and Bristol-Myers Squibb, he has managed Informatics groups and partnered with business leadership to implement mission critical transformation initiatives in the areas of Electronic Dossier and Document Management, Global Product Label Management, Electronic Regulatory Submissions, Safety Signal Detection, Pharmacovigilance, PharmacoIntelligence, and Regulatory Compliance.

His background includes development and management of information systems for major centers of cancer research at the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University, both in Philadelphia. His own research has included work in Bioinformatics and Protein Structure: Function Modeling and Medical Imaging of Solid Tumors. He holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts and an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Currently, his work is as a consultant, with emphasis in advising clients on approaches for integrating knowledge in pharmaceutical R&D.
