Robert Scoffin, CambridgeSoft, Basel Meeting Session Chair
Robert Scoffin has a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Oxford University, and has been involved in the Scientific Software and Informatics industry for the last 12 years. Following on from an initial career as a software developer with Oxford Molecular in the UK, he has been involved in the creation and marketing of a number of innovative software solutions, particularly targeted at the Life Sciences and Pharma industries. Rob managed the development of DIVA, an application which enables bench scientists to analyse highly complex data, in collaboration with GlaxoWellcome, and was also responsible for the creation of the prototype for CambridgeSoft's E-Notebook product. In 2001 Rob co-founded Amedis Pharmaceuticals, focussing on the development of predictive models for ADMET properties of molecules. He is now head of CambridgeSoft's European business, and is particularly involved in the E-Notebook application area.
