Dr. Harvey L. Wiener is an Associate Director in Knowledge Integration Resources at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) in Wallingford, Connecticut. Harvey holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from The Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Harvey joined BMS in 1993, where he initially conducted drug discovery research in neuroscience and genitourinary disorders. Since leaving the lab approximately 5 years ago, Harvey has been engaged in Knowledge Management activities helping research and development teams and communities improve communication and collaboration between sites, departments and divisions. Harvey co-founded and promulgated BMS's award winning Knowledge Desktop Program to enable teams and communities of practice to achieve breakthrough performance. Harvey currently co-leads the BMS's Enterprise Community Consulting Service, which assists over 300 R&D teams, Sales and Marketing teams, and other communities of practice by providing social and technical consulting and two on-line collaborative environments.
