Dr. Pollard is currently serving as a Director of Informatics Research with 3rd Millennium, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based bioinformatics consultancy. His responsibilities include leading the Company's microarray consulting practice and directing the Company's research efforts in biopathways. Dr. Pollard earned his B.S. in biochemistry from Indiana University and his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular pharmacology from Harvard University where he investigated functional nucleic acids and the origin of life. He has authored numerous research articles and patents on biochemistry and informatics appearing in publications such as Chemistry & Biology. He also actively contributes to the premier methods series Current Protocols. He has taught several courses in biochemistry and been honored for his teaching excellence.
