Stuart’s strategy
practice, Henshall & Associates helps organizations
accelerate innovative solutions to market. His blog,
the Unbound Spiral, is influencing and researching developments
in the emerging social software arena. As an active
blogger, he is working with clients to adapt and merge
these new “knowledge tools” with organizational
development programs.
Prior to developing his own practice Stuart was a leading
scenario practitioner with GBN Global Business Network.
There he ran programs which included future studies
on food, biotechnology, communications and consumer
power. He’s facilitated powerful change programs
for the top teams at Dow Corning, General Mills, Motorola,
and HP Labs. His broad international background also
includes roles as General Manager and VP Sales and Marketing
where he launched a number of “world first”
new products and successful new Brands in both Consumer
Products and Retail. Today he is working to combine
the use of scenarios, visioning and emerging software
tools to help branded communities augment their collective
intelligence.
Stuart has been an active member in the Knowledge Management
environment as founder of Knowledge Communities International
and as a course leader. He’s taught public and
private programs, including at the Haas School of Business
(UCB) and University of Auckland Executive Programs.
He’s been recognized by Entovation as a Global
Knowledge Innovation Leader, while his papers include
“Trust in Networks,” “The COMsumer
Manifesto” and a short series on emerging P2P
(peer to peer) environments. More recently “blogging”
captures his thoughts.
Stuart has a B.com from the University of Auckland and
is a Chartered Accountant CA with (ICANZ Institute of
Chartered Accountants New Zealand). He lives with his
family in San Francisco, California.
